Prior to COVID-19 coming to Mifflin County, the County did not have stockpile of or a means to distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Municipalities, key stakeholders, and essential workers during a quarantine. Municipalities and first responders need relief.

Municipal relief grants – assistance to boroughs and townships for response and planning efforts related to COVID-19 will be available. Additionally, municipalities may apply to the County for the reimbursement of the purchase and/or installation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

"Municipalities are the closest form of government to county residents, and are in-turn on the front lines of dealing with the virus and municipal officials need personal protection and a stockpile of supplies to distribute to their residents where it is needed most."Mark Colussy, Mifflin County Planning Director
